Wildcat Baseball got their Nevada State Tournament underway with an opening round victory over Basic HS.  Daniel Jimenez tossed a complete game shutout, spreading out only 4 hits over 7 innings.  Joel Lindahl went 2/3 at the plate while Layne Adaro and Martin Simmons crossed the plate for the only runs of the game.

The victory set up a meeting with the Northern Region Champs Reno HS.  The Wildcats were unable to cash in with runners in scoring position and dropped to the loser’s bracket of the tournament by a score of 8-4.

Vegas will play again today at 10am again Bishop Manogue (Reno), and hopefully with a victory again at 7pm vs the Basic/Arbor View winner.
